Needless to say, our bot is in shambles. We rebuilt with the new materials and it just barely exceeds the 18 inch maximum. We are currently working on a solution. To make things worse our first checkpoint is in two weeks, and we don't have a functioning bot.

Kappa 123
Today we dissembled our whole robot minus the gears. We are rebuilding it with the new metal we received. We decided to scrap the 1 arm launcher design and go to 2 arms for more control and strength. We also received our new wheels in the mail the are slightly smaller than we thought the were going to be but its fine we are going to switch our original ones out and just use the new ones.

Day 8
Just to our luck, our wheels still have yet to come. We are immobilized. In addition to that, we are having problems with our claw. It seems to be too heavy for our frame. We are either going to have to rebuild the claw or frame, yay.

Day 7
This week, we hope to finally get our bot moving. It feels as if we are far behind the other groups due to our lack of wheels. On the bright side, I brought in surgical tubing for our endofactor and it seems to work great. Hopefully our ordered wheels arrive soon.

Day 6
This week, we made plenty of progress on our robot. Our drive train is almost finished. The only thing that is holding us back is the wheels that we ordered in the beginning of this week. While we've been waiting, work has continued on the arm/launcher which involves slip gears and surgical tubing for extra power.

Today we finished the Lift design for the front of our robot. We also started attaching the launcher to the top of our robot so we can launch the cubes and stars. We still have to order the omni wheels and attach them but after that Our robot should be complete minus the code.

Day 4
Today we actually began to get a better picture of what we want our robot to look like. After some discussion we decided to ditch the omni-bot and we began building an H-drive base. Mr Martin announced that each team will be receiving $60 for our robot. We most likely will spend the majority of it on wheels because we need a lot of them for our H-Drive.
Here we are getting a clearer picture as to how we want to our lift to work.
We also chose a team name and logo to print out and put on our cart!

Day 3
Today, we finished advancing our inventory to make sure we have everything we need for our robot. We desperately need wheels. This week we plan to build the base and start building the arm for our bot. We have decided to go with an "H base" - which looks like an H. The other class seems to have a leg up on the building so we are trying to be as productive as possible.
